John Adders and Matty who I knew from Hulmeians a good few yrs later...Matty and his twin were no nonsense c halves hard as fook. John Hadfield was my right hand man at Hulmeians...great bloke 👍
Played with Adder at hathershaw old boys the year when won the league he scored around 30 , the bungy brothers all the did was toe bung it 😂 Gibbo is a top bloke and still one of my best pals as for Tex he’s still getting over his heart attack that he had last year ,
Indeed, how could I forget Rodney.
Both had time for me even after I left Failsworth, that was the kind of people they were. And to be fair that rubbed off on to the players too with the likes of yourself, Gibbo, Tex, the Cain's etc
Whether you played one or five hundred games for Failsworth everyone is held in the same high regard pal , as spike always says “ it’s not a football club , it’s a way of life “

Played with and against all of them though at that time....some good solid lads there
Guy with the arrow pointing to him is obviously the danger man
Gibbo was quality Nutt
Tex didn't age, he looked like that when I played against him years later
He didn’t did he, I remember playing against him in my early 30s and he was still same
I bumped into Steely as well a couple of weeks ago and had a natter...good lad him
Learnt so much in those 2 years as a teenager under 'The Boss' Tommy Cain. I didn't play that often but always felt part of it all. Great memories
TC and Rodney two great men, Tommy is still sadly missed by everybody who knew him
